Medical Dutch B2 → B2+ for doctors and dentists

The BIG-register asks doctors and dentists for Dutch above B2: the language of explaining a diagnosis, discussing risk in numbers, handling a complaint and writing a referral. This module trains exactly that, in a track for your own profession, and prepares you for the B2+ language test.

Who it is for

Doctors

GPs, basic doctors and specialists preparing for BIG registration. The track is built around the Dutch GP consultation: the patient's question, safety-netting, telephone triage, chronic care, mental health, referrals and end-of-life care.

Dentists

Dentists preparing for BIG registration. The track follows the dental practice: explaining treatment, medical history and anticoagulants, dental anxiety, costs and insurance, children, aesthetics, and working with the team.

What is in every unit

Exam training, certificate and exam

This module does not give a language certificate. The BIG-register accepts B2+ only from the institutions on its own list, and the certificate may be at most two years old. You take that test separately, at an institution of your choice. Check the current list on bigregister.nl.

The institutions on the list use two kinds of test. The module trains both, for each profession:

You can take each exam training as often as you like.
