Where should you start?

If you have learned some Dutch already, this check finds the unit of the course that fits you. Three kinds of questions: a sentence with one word missing, a short text to read and a short fragment to listen to — take headphones. It gets harder as long as you get it right and stops when it gets too hard: about ten minutes.

Each question has a time limit, shown next to the question number; for listening it starts once you have heard the conversation. Not sure of an answer? Choose “I don’t know” rather than guess — the advice gets better.

This is a starting point for the course, not a language level or a certificate. It checks reading and listening, not speaking or writing.
